Bec Troisi @borktattoos [4th year apprentice]
Prior to seeking her tattoo apprenticeship, Bec spent eight years working in the film industry as a makeup artist, including both conventional makeup and prosthetics (zombies/gore/blood FX).
During this time she designed and applied fake tattoos, including an entire sleeve for a cast member on the TV series Wolf Creek! But despite a fruitful career in media FX, Bec found herself being called in another direction.
In January 2022 she made the transition to pursue tattooing full time and we welcomed her to BDT as an apprentice alongside co-artist Taj. Bec has an incredibly unique personal art style that is illustrative with a touch of witchy-whimsy. She has become a client-favourite and has been trusted with many large-scale projects that have turned out simply beautifully.
If you'd like to work with Bec on your next tattoo, simply fill out a consultation request and she will be in touch.
“Twice I’ve been here with a total of 10 small tattoos done by the lovely Bec! Bec made my experience so easy for my first tattoo, talking me through the process and giving me plenty of options, she made the the whole experience comfortable and so professional.”
Apprentice disclaimer…
Both our apprentices (Taj and Bec) are currently working at discounted rates compared to our senior artists while they continue to learn the craft of tattooing.
All consultations, designs, stencils and tattoos are supervised by one of our senior artists and approved every step of the way. This process ensures every client gets quality work, customer service and has a great experience. Jobs are quoted on a per piece basis not hourly rate while our apprentices are in their first year tattooing. This allows all processes and tattoos the adequate time necessary to ensure the best result.
